Where Does C&D Debris Go in Arkansas?

There is no single destination for every demolition load. The material’s condition and a facility’s authorization and acceptance determine the available route.

Different streams have different destinations

A load may go to an authorized landfill, an appropriate recovery operation or a confirmed reuse outlet. Clean separated material may have options unavailable to mixed or contaminated debris. Suspect or regulated material requires the applicable specialist review and handling route.

Arkansas DEQ distinguishes facility types. Class 4 landfills are associated with permitted inert, non-putrescible streams, including eligible C&D material. That does not mean every demolition load can be accepted at every Class 4 facility. Check the permit and the facility’s current requirements.

Verify the actual receiving facility

  • Use Arkansas DEQ records to identify the facility and its authorization.
  • Confirm the specific material, contamination and load requirements directly with the facility.
  • Confirm outside-hauler access, operating hours, unloading arrangement and applicable charges.
  • Record the destination and acceptance evidence for each load rather than assuming an outcome from the facility’s name.

Ask what happens after delivery

For disposal, retain the accepted disposal receipt. For reuse or recovery, obtain the evidence required by the project’s reporting rules. If the final outcome is not known, report it as unknown. Delivery to a facility is not by itself proof that all of the material was recycled.

Before requesting a quote, send the site address, material description, estimated quantity, photos and any known environmental information. Meyers can review loading, container and hauling scope and identify destination questions that must be confirmed.

Plan the next step

Request roll-off container pricing or review hauling and material movement. For removal work, review demolition, selective demolition and civil and sitework.
